Supporting Access to Justice in the Midlands

Picture
"In the current harsh economic climate the need for funds for legal advice is ever-increasing, especially as pre-existent sources are diminished, restricted or even distinguished. At the MLST we are passionate about doing what we can to ensure that legal advice and support is available to all."
Nicola Preston, Chairperson
The Midland Legal Support Trust (MLST) is a grant-making charity, formed in 2010 to raise and distribute funds to organisations providing free legal advice services in the Midland region of England.

The Trust covers a wide area that includes Shropshire, Herefordshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire, Warwickshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, Rutland and the West Midlands.

The charities supported by the MLST help to facilitate access to justice for the poorest, most vulnerable and most disadvantaged members of society. They provide free legal help to people facing problems such as homelessness, debt, employment, family issues, mental health problems, discrimination and injustice and they desperately need funds to support their work.

The Midland Legal Support Trust is a company limited by guarantee (no. 06738666), and a registered charity (no. 1128045).   Its  registered office is at c/o Bevan Brittan LLP, Interchange Place, Edmund Street, Birmingham B3 2TA.
